Paneer Do-Pyaja Gravy

Paneer Do Pyaza literally translates to Paneer and Two Onion. The original recipe calls for onions twice. The first time the onions are chopped and used to cook in the gravy and the second time the onions are added at the end as a garnish. Our Paneer with Onion or Paneer Do Pyaza is a rich and aromatic curry that is greeted by the nice smoky flavor of the pan fried onion and green pepper. Paneer is an Indian cottage cheese that is a very popular protein substitute in the vegetarian community. Paneer Do-Pyaja is best served with rice or naan.

Ingredients:
3 cups Water, 1/2 tsp Salt , 1/2 tsp Pepper, 2 cups Cubed Paneer, 3/4 cups Diced Red Onion, 3/4 cups Diced Green Pepper, 1/3 tbsp Butter, 2 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
Prep:
1. Season paneer with salt & pepper.
2. Add the Easy Gravy Bowl jar contents to a bowl & mix thoroughly with water to create gravy.
Cook:
1. Melt butter in pan.
2. Sauté veggies in pan: 2-3 min.
3. Add gravy & bring to a rapid simmer on med/high heat. Stir regularly: 2-3 min.
4. Add seasoned paneer to pan. Continue simmering until gravy thickens to desired consistency: 8-10 min. Stir to avoid burning.
5. Remove from heat & drizzle in cream. Let sit: 3 min.
